Chatham Saw Mill is one of the oldest and largest wood processing mills in Asia and an important historical site in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Located on Chatham Island near Port Blair, the mill was established during the British period to process timber from the surrounding forests. Visitors coming here can see large machines that were once used to cut massive logs transported from the forests of the islands. The area also has a small museum displaying photographs, old tools, and historical information about the timber industry of Andaman. Walking around the mill provides insight into how timber operations were carried out in earlier times.
